Firstly, who is AC/DC? AC/DC is an Australian (Aussie) rock band that was formed in, Sydney, Australia in 1973 by Scottish brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Their music can be described as many types of rock including hard rock and boogie rock while they themselves only call it “Rock and Roll”.
Throughout the years they have received awards for their great works including Two Grammy awards, Echo awards, APRA, and ARIA awards. They have produced hit songs that you would’ve definitely heard and jammed along to like, “Thunderstruck”, “Highway to Hell” and “Back in Black”. AC/DC also had Hall of Fame inductions that occurred during 1988 and 2003.
AC/DC had a significant impact on the music industry and the way they influenced rock and roll to this day. Their mammoth power-chord roar has been included as one of the most influential rock songs in the late 1970s and it is said that it has helped define the style of the genre as the years progressed.
AC/DC simply influenced rock as they laid down the blueprint for new rock sounds which went on to influence many famous bands like “Metallica”, “Foo Fighters” and “Guns N’ Roses”. By having an influence on Rock and Roll, AC/DC has influenced many aspects of pop culture and lastly their theatrical high-energy performances puts them at the very top of the music performers list.
